Results

So, because of the results of this tournament, unfortunately we are not in the top 24 to qualify for Beijing. We are about 31-30 right now. We have one more tourney, but even if we were to win this tourney, we still would not be in the 24. So it looks like our chances are gone.....it's been quite the journey and experience.
Just want to say "maraming salamat" to everyone who was behind us from the beginning to the end, without your support and faith, this journey might not even have started. Thank you again for all your support!

Time and time again we're blown away by the commitment you two had to your dreams.

As Mark Twain once said, "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

Think about all the amazing times you've had on this journey and know that we all love you guys and we're VERY proud of you!

Heidi and Diane,

I want to thank you both for the journey you both decided to take.

You both showed all of us that it is possible to follow your dream and heart.

My personal request is please consider 2012 to continue the journey. I will continue to support you both.

Aloha - Wahine - ....Go Bows.....

A friend of mine sent me this blog. She was aware of my interest in beach volleyball, the Olympics, and dreams.

I wrote a play a few years ago about a Hawaiian kid and his quest for a trip to the Australia Olympics, ......the catch.....he figured out a way to compete as a Hawaiian......giving the plight of modern Hawaiians international exposure. Some of it I wrote in the Stan Sheriff while watching your team play!

It is a fictional story that one day....if I ever get the time.....i would like to gather Hawaii talent together to mentor high school kids into making it as a project (i.e. Kapono help the kids with music, Edgy Lee, film editing.....etc.).

Alot of good film making coming out of our Hawaii high schools these days.

Never in all of my research have I come across anything as fascinating as this blog and your truly great experiences. The spirit of your writing is just awesome and inspiring.

Sorry about Bejing........a production group I used to be associated with is there now and tells me that the air is sooooo bad they want to go home to the clean air of the San Fernando Valley in August....go figure!

You should be very proud of the life you live, the friends you have and how the spirit within will always guide you to adventures that quite obviously you live with passion, joy and a refreshing style!

What I like most about your site is that you genuinely know that the ride is more important than the illusive destination. life is to be lived, explored, shared and reflected upon. Properly, it should inspire just as your heros inspired you.

Your experiences should be shared with all of the volleyball clubs and the kids that every day will dream to, be it ever so briefly, adventure into just a few days of yours' and miss Pascua's life.

Stay well.......and Aloha
